Three ways to boost your immunity

With fall around the corner, now is the perfect time to boost your immunity in preparation for the season full of viruses!

While some cold and flu viruses are essential to building defenses around our body, helping our immune system stay stronger, we should still prepare our bodies for too many viruses.

Below are three ways to boost your immunity:

Sleep

Because getting adequate sleep is a staple in positive health for many different things, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that proper sleep is essential for keeping a healthy immune system.

How Much Sleep Do You Need?

Most adults need to aim for 8 hours of sleep, but other people may need more than that if they struggle with insomnia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. Research what’s best for you and your family and aim to get that many hours a night.

When you sleep, your body and brain recharge, strengthening your immunity.

Exercise

A healthy amount of getting proper, daily exercise is beneficial in keeping your immune system healthy! It doesn’t need to be strenuous exercise, but some physical activity is vital in fighting against flu/cold viruses.

While exercising, your lungs work to expel bacteria, allowing your immune cells to recharge and work effectively against viruses or infections.

You Don’t Need to Exercise Extensively
