We use treatments of low dose ketamine infusions for patients that suffer from treatment-resistant depression (TRD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and suicidality. Ketamine therapy first began to gain popularity beginning in the 1960’s and has since become an FDA approved anesthetic that has shown remarkable results in helping to relieve symptoms of depression. It is important to note that ketamine is not a cure for depression, but an ongoing treatment that helps to stabilize the negative effects of the disorders and allowing improved results from other treatment modalities. Many patients have seen an improvement in as little as one or two treatments, but a series of six is suggested for optimal results. While used in conjunction with other psychological treatments and programs, ketamine infusions have been found to significantly improve the patient’s day to day life.
